To our family and friends,

We’re finally tying the knot, and we hope you’ll join us to celebrate!

When: Saturday, October 26th from 12 PM-3 PM.

Where: Stone Brewing Liberty Station (2816 Historic Decatur Rd UNIT 116, San Diego, CA 92106)

What: A casual lunch with tacos, beer, and other treats.

Please RSVP by August 1st.

We encourage you to make a weekend out of it and have some activities planned Friday night and Saturday night (Halloweekend!) that you can join in on.

Hope you can make it! - Craig and Ari

(Optional) Activities planned for the weekend

  • Friday night: If you plan to arrive on Friday, join us for an evening beach bonfire at Mission Beach. We’ll bring pizzas, stuff for s’mores, blankets to sit on, and bevs. This is an all-ages event and everyone’s invited.
  • Saturday night: Friends, siblings, and cousins who are 21+ are invited to enjoy some Halloweekend festivities in San Diego. Join us for cocktails and mocktails at Park and Rec (4612 Park Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92116) starting at 7 PM. DJ sets and dancing will kick off at 9 PM. DJ sets and dancing will begin at 9 PM, followed by late-night bowling nearby—let's see where the night takes us! Costumes are strongly encouraged, and Craig and I are covering the bar tab up to $1,000. Hope to see you there. :)

Where should we stay?

It’s up to you, but our scheduled plans will take place in Mission Beach (bonfire), Point Loma (reception), and Hillcrest (afterparty).

Some good jumping off points are:

  • Want to be close to everything, have lots of hotel options, and don’t care about having good views? Stay in Mission Valley
  • Want to have a nice beach vacation and don’t mind driving further? Stay in Mission Beach, Point Loma, or La Jolla (LJ is the most expensive, but also one of the most beautiful parts of SD)
  • Want to stay in one of the cooler, walkable neighborhoods in SD with lots to eat and do? Stay in North Park or South Park
  • Want to be near some of the main tourist attractions? Stay in Old Town

Also, we strongly encourage people who are flying in to rent a car, plan to take Ubers (and potentially face weekend surge fees), or let Ari and Craig know if you’ll need transportation for the weekend, so they can arrange pick ups, etc.

What is there to do in san diego?

Activities:

  • Beach Day (La Jolla Shores and Mission Beach are nearby favorites, but the best beaches are in North County San Diego, including Torrey Pines State Beach, Powerhouse Beach, Cardiff Beach, and San Elijo State Beach. These beaches are accessible by car.)
  • Water Sports (Enjoy kayaking or paddleboarding in La Jolla Cove or Mission Bay. Snorkeling in La Jolla Cove is also nice.)
  • Zoo or Safari Park Day (Both the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park are excellent, though the Safari Park is located further up in North County San Diego.)
  • Visit one of the 18 Balboa Park Museums (Visit one of the 18 museums in Balboa Park. Highly recommended are the Museum of Art and the Japanese Friendship Garden. Wrap up your visit with drinks and bites at Panama 66 in the park.)
  • Hiking (Some of our favorite hikes include Torrey Pines State Park and various trails in Mission Trails Regional Park. Cowles Mountain is also a popular hike.)
  • Golfing (Tee off at Torrey Pines Golf Course, etc.)

  • Visit the waterfront area (Explore the USS Midway Museum, the Little Italy neighborhood, Waterfront Park, and the Maritime Museum of San Diego.)
  • Take a trip to Old Town (Fiesta de Reyes or Old Town Mexican Café have a nice atmosphere, but there’s better Mexican food in San Diego.)
  • Visit a farmer’s market (Little Italy on Saturday or Hillcrest on Sunday - both are big with lots of prepared foods, crafts, and produce. We highly recommend the Little Italy market.)

FAQS:

Will there be an engagement party, bridal shower, bach party, etc.? Will there be a ceremony?

Nope. We don’t want a big wedding with all the trappings. Our lunchtime celebration is our only planned event, so we really hope you can make it (and we hope this makes it easier since most of you live out of town!)

What’s the dress code for the reception?

Dressy Casual. Think nice sundresses and button-downs. We’ll be outdoors and San Diego can get hot in October, so please dress for the weather and wear shoes you can walk in the grass with.

Gifts? Registry?

Your presence is a gift enough (and also, Craig and Ari own basically every kitchen gadget known to man.)

But, should you wish to give a gift, a cash gift to put towards our honeymoon would be greatly appreciated.
